Already a few years ago I contributed with Morning Coffee (a composition fondly remembering moments of matinal happiness due to excellent Brazilian coffee) to the new CD of the inimitable Amsterdam Brass Quintet featuring Ilja Reijngoud.

Me, Myself & Mahler

That was a beautiful project last month! Marc Pantus, Merlijn Runia, Pepijn Cladder, the Göttinger Symphonie Orchester and I had the pleasure to make a show full of music from Gustav Mahler (actually ALL is symphonies and a couple of songs) in the presence of the maestro himself (who happened to be quite alive) for a few thousand children. I hope we can experience this kind of musical interaction again soon! There’s nothing as adventurous, playful, soothing, beautiful, problematic, satisfying etc. etc. etc. as a live meeting between musicians and audience!

Phew.

Phew… Just finished two new scores for children. Moggûh! (written for Cappella Amsterdam together with Bart Oomen) for 8 singers containing new compositions, and music ranging from Sweelinck to Poulenc and Me, myself & Mahler, with a lot of Mahler, crazy tunes, and more Mahler for the Concertgebouw, Göttinger Symphonie Orchester, Marc Pantus and Merlijn Runia. And now, maybe some little post-Christmas holiday… music

Documentary made by Bas Westerweel and Peter Bouwmans about the last tour I did with the Ricciotti ensemble to Cuba about a year ago.

Documentary made by Bas Westerweel and Peter Bouwmans about the last tour I did with the Ricciotti ensemble to Cuba about a year ago. Featuring all the incredible musicians, meastro Ramon Valle, and my former colleagues! Looking back with an awful lot of very fond memories. (The documentary is in Dutch but contains enough music and beautiful images to enjoy!)
